001. Open Up GIMP.
002. Open up a new canvas and then type anything.
003.Right-click your image and select LAYERS>TRANSPARENCY>ALPHA TO SELECTION.
004.Now, go to SELECT>GROW and type in 3px, and select OK.
005.Add a new transparent layer.
006.In your layers dialog, drag your NEW layer in between the two layers so it should be in the middle.
007.Fill your text with any colour of your choice [Fill it with the paint bucket tool]
008.Now it looks really plain with a outline [If you use PS it's a stroke].
009.Now press CTRL+SHIFT+A. 010.Then, go to FILTERS>BLUR>GAUSSIAN BLUR, and set the pixels to 45.0px. 011. This is how mine turned out http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u106/piczotown-1/Lost-5.gif
